The control surfaces on the Shahed-136 and Russian-made analogue Geran-2 drone are officially referred to as elevons (a combination of elevator and aileron).
These are the hinged control surfaces located on the rear edge of the delta wings, which allow the drone to control its pitch and roll.
This piece was recovered from the Sumy direction in northeastern Ukraine, around 30km from the Russian border.
Ironically, this piece has “НЕ БРАТЬСЯ” which translates to “DO NOT TAKE” painted on it.
